Prior to joining SRNL, Marilyn was interim Human Resources director and division director, Talent Services at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In these two positions, she was a trusted adviser to Oak Ridge leadership, offering guidance and best practices on compensation, benefits, training, organizational development, labor relations, and diversity, equity and inclusion. In doing so, she successfully led a team of 15 and was responsible for the day-to-day operations of more than 70 human resources employees. Before her position at Oak Ridge, Marilyn was senior manager, Human Resources, and manager, Compensation and Relocation, at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. In these positions, she guided leadership on overall human resources strategy to best achieve organizational goals while mitigating risk, including performance philosophy, succession and workforce planning, employee relations, employment law, talent selection, onboarding and diversity. In addition to her roles at Oak Ridge and Pacific Northwest, Marilyn has held leadership positions at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Comcast, Chevron, Toyota and Wells Fargo.
In addition to her academic degrees, Marilyn holds the following professional certifications: Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) from the Human Capital Institute; Prosci Certified Change Practitioner
