Advanced Modeling & Simulation

The Advanced Technologies and Analysis (ATA) division enables the U.S. government to identify immediate and emerging global security threats, combat those threats, and maintain technological superiority.

One of the key groups under the ATA is the Advanced Modeling and Simulation (AMS) group.

Located within the boundaries of the Department of Energy’s 310-sq. Mile Savannah River Site, SRNL’s testing demonstration range supports AMS, among several other groups, testing and exercises activities on a year-round basis.

Within the secured boundary of SRS are a variety of facilities and geographical areas. This proving ground allows the AMS group to test their nonproliferation models and safely simulate conditions that verify their testing methodology.
